
Mrs. Evelyn Omolade Balogun
Evelyn Omolade Irohinola Balogun is an experienced educationist and founder of I-Tree Group of Schools, with over four decades of teaching and leadership experience in Nigeria and the UK. She is also an avid golfer and currently serves as Vice Zonal President (West) of the Ladies Golf Association of Nigeria.

Evelyn Omolade Irohinola Balogun (née Adetula) is an accomplished educationist and administrator with a career spanning over four decades across Nigeria and the United Kingdom. Born on 13th July 1958 in Owo, Ondo State, she hails from the distinguished family of High Chief George Adetula, the Sashere of Owo, and Mrs. Alice Adetula.
Evelyn began her academic journey at Government Primary School, Owo, completing her primary education in 1970. She continued her secondary education at St. Louis Girls’ School, Owo, and Igbomina Baptist Grammar School, Isanlu-Isin, graduating in 1976. Driven by a passion for education, she pursued a pivotal course at Ilorin Teachers’ College and subsequently graduated from the Federal Advanced Teachers’ College, Abeokuta, in 1982. To further enhance her academic and professional qualifications, she earned a Bachelor’s degree in Education from Brunel University, United Kingdom, in 2000.
Her teaching career commenced under the Kwara State Schools Management Board between 1976 and 1978. She also taught at St. Patrick Primary School, Owo, and engaged in teaching practice at multiple schools in Abeokuta during her training years. Following her NYSC at Speedwriting Secondary School, Yaba, Lagos, she joined the Lagos State Schools Management Board and served at Onitolo Community Secondary School until 1987.
In pursuit of broader experience, Evelyn relocated to the United Kingdom in December 1987, where she contributed significantly to the British educational system. She taught at Oakington Manor Primary School, Wembley, Middlesex, and Fenstanton Primary School, Pulse Hill, South-West London, until 2007. Her leadership skills were recognized as she served in various capacities, including Appraisal Coordinator, Mathematics Coordinator, External Examination Coordinator for SATs, Phase Leader (Deputy Head), and Equal Opportunity Officer for the Lambeth Branch of the National Union of Teachers.
Returning to Nigeria in 2007, Evelyn channeled her wealth of experience into founding I-Tree Group of Schools, where she currently serves as Executive Director. Her commitment to educational excellence and child development continues to impact generations of students under her tutelage.
Beyond education, Evelyn is an avid reader, traveler, and golfer. Her passion for golf has seen her serve as Past Lady Captain of the Ilorin Golf Club, Past Public Relations Officer (PRO) of the Ladies Golf Association of Nigeria, and currently as the Vice Zonal President (West) of the Ladies Golf Association of Nigeria.
Widowed, Evelyn is a proud mother and grandmother whose life exemplifies dedication to family, education, and community service.
