Prof. Emmanuel Adetiba

Prof. Emmanuel Adetiba, a COREN-registered engineer and member of IITPSA and IEEE, earned his Ph.D. from Covenant University and completed a Postdoc at DUT, South Africa. He has published extensively, led major research projects, supervised multiple graduate students, and received prestigious grants including the 2023 Google Award for Inclusion Research.

About Prof. Emmanuel Adetiba

Prof. Emmanuel Adetiba (Member, IEEE) earned his Ph.D. in Information and Communication Engineering from Covenant University, Nigeria, and completed a Postdoctoral Fellowship at Durban University of Technology (DUT), South Africa. He is a registered engineer with COREN and a member of IITP (South Africa) and IEEE (USA). Prof. Adetiba has received several prestigious grants from institutions like the World Bank, Google, the US National Science Foundation, and the Nigeria Communications Commission.

He has held key academic positions, including Director of ICT at Covenant University (2017–2019), Senior Lecturer (2014–2018), Full Professor (2018–present), Deputy Center Leader and Principal Investigator for the World Bank and AFD-funded FEDGEN Research Project, and Head of the Electrical and Information Engineering Department (2021–2023). He is currently an Honorary Research Associate at the Institute for Systems Science, DUT, and a Visiting Research Associate/Professor at the KZN eSkills Co-Lab, DUT.

Prof. Adetiba has published 89 Scopus-indexed articles (H-Index: 14) and 142 Google Scholar-indexed articles (H-Index: 20). His supervision record includes nine completed Master’s students, four ongoing, four completed Ph.D. students, five ongoing, and one completed Postdoctoral candidate. He received the Google Award for Inclusion Research in 2023.
